Common Questions

How long does stairlift installation take?

Most straight stairlift installations are completed in 2–4 hours. Curved stairlifts take a bit longer as the custom rail is fitted on-site. We clean up completely before we leave.

Let's Find the Right Solution for You

Whether you're ready to move forward or just have questions, we're here. No pressure, no obligation.

You Shouldn't Have to Leave the Home You've Built

We understand that stairs can feel like a growing obstacle — for you or someone you love. We hear these concerns every day.

"I'm worried about falling on the stairs."

Falls are the #1 cause of home injuries for older adults. A stairlift removes that daily risk entirely, giving you and your family real peace of mind.

You've built your life in this home. A stairlift is one of the most effective ways to remain independent and comfortable in the place that matters most.

"I want to stay in my home — not move to assisted living."

We offer new, used, and rental options. Our team will always recommend the right option — not the most expensive one.

"I'm concerned about
the cost."

Straight Stairlifts

If you can look straight up your stairway from the bottom with no curve or landing partway up, a straight stairlift is the right fit. These are the most common and most affordable option.

  • Narrow rail — leaves room for others
  • Multiple seat & upholstery options
  • Folds neatly when not in use

Curved Stairlifts

Does your stairway turn, bend, or have multiple landings? A curved stairlift is custom-built specifically to the measurements of your home.

  • Custom rail engineered for your exact stairs
  • Smooth ride through all landings
  • Professional in-home survey included

Will the stairlift damage my stairs or walls?

No. Stannah stairlifts attach to the stair treads — not the walls — using small bolts through a mounting plate. The footprint is minimal and easily reparable.

What happens if the power goes out?

All Stannah stairlifts are battery-powered and charge automatically when parked. In the event of a power outage, your lift will still operate normally for multiple trips.
