Product Spotlight: PVE Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators

HomeLift News
23. Pve52 Wheelchair Elevator

If you’re short on space and looking for a sleek elevator for your home, pneumatic vacuum elevators might be a great fit. HomeLift is proud to sell and install PVE elevators and have always found them to be exceptional quality products. Founded in 2002, in Miami, Florida, PVE manufactures three versions of their vacuum elevators, ranging from single to a three-passenger, wheelchair-accessible model. Rather than using cables or pistons, PVE manufactures the only elevator powered by air. Its minimal footprint, rapid installation, and unique panoramic design allow the vacuum elevator to be installed in many applications where other types of elevators cannot be used.

Benefits of Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators

PVE37 Pneumatic Vacuum Elevator
  • No pit excavation, hoist-way, or machine room required
  • Made in the USA
  • Installation within one to three days
  • Two to five stops for residential, marine, and stage applications
  • Self-supporting structure: the elevator is capable of freestanding on any level ground surface
  • “Green Elevator:” minimal energy consumption required during ascent and no energy necessary for descent
  • Modern design allows 360º visibility without cables or pistons that block vision
  • Minimal maintenance: no lubricants or regular service required
  • Absolute safety: in the event of a power failure, the elevator cab automatically descends to the lowest level, and the electromechanical door opens to allow passengers to exit

PVE Installation

Pneumatic vacuum elevators are faster and easier to install than most other types of elevators. There are three main components to the transparent, self-supporting vacuum elevator:

  • The Exterior Cylinder made up of an aluminum frame and polycarbonate panels
  • The Elevator Car made of steel, which houses the brake and safety mechanisms along with the proprietary seal located on top of the car
  • The Suction Assembly located on top of the upper cylinder, which houses the turbine engines, valves, and the PVE control board

Several customization options are available, including the color of the frame, optional cabin phone, optional cabin key lock, and optional foldable seat. Our elevator specialists are available to help you review all available models and options to choose the best pneumatic vacuum elevator for your home. Call today to schedule a free in-home estimate or if you have any questions.
