Vertical Platform Lift Installation
HomeLift has been solving vertical access problems for homeowners and commercial clients across Tennessee and Alabama since 1986, with vertical platform lifts that go where a ramp or stairlift can’t.
A vertical platform lift solves the access situations a ramp doesn’t address and a stairlift isn’t designed for. The platform travels vertically and accommodates wheelchairs, walkers, and users who can’t navigate steps of any height. HomeLift installs VPL lifts for residential and commercial applications across Tennessee and Alabama, with configurations ranging from porch lifts at a home entry to enclosed platforms for commercial properties.
The specific model and configuration vary by site, but the installation process and post-install coverage stay consistent across every VPL we complete. Bruno and Cibes both go through our factory-trained technicians from assessment through commissioning.
Every vertical platform lift we install is handled by HomeLift’s own NAEC-affiliated, factory-trained technicians. We’ve operated under those standards on every install across Tennessee and Alabama since 1986, residential and commercial alike. Post-install, our Gold Extended Service Contract covers parts and labor, including three service calls per year and a guaranteed four-business-day response. Silver covers labor only, with the same call structure. Both are available on every VPL installation we complete.
Vertical platform lift cost depends on rise height, platform size, indoor or outdoor placement, and the specific model selected. Outdoor installations may carry additional costs related to weather-rated components and enclosures. We don’t quote without assessing the site first.
Platform size varies by model, and some configurations are sized specifically for power wheelchairs and mobility scooters. The in-home assessment captures the dimensions of the mobility equipment to confirm which platform size is appropriate before anything is ordered.
Most VPL installations require a stable, level surface at both the upper and lower landings. Whether that requires a concrete pad depends on the existing surface conditions at the site. Our technician identifies any foundation or surface requirements during the site assessment before the equipment is specified.
Outdoor-rated VPL models include weather-resistant components designed for exposed installations, but operating conditions and temperature ranges vary by model.
