Elevator Repair and Maintenance
HomeLift backs elevator repair and maintenance with a written response guarantee, not just a promise.
The components that cause the most unplanned outages, door operators, push buttons, batteries, and circuit boards, are exactly what a scheduled preventative maintenance visit is designed to catch. By the time one of those fails without warning, the repair is more expensive and the downtime is longer than it needed to be. HomeLift’s Gold and Silver Extended Service Contracts put that maintenance on a schedule and keep it there.
HomeLift handles repair and maintenance for every product category we install, residential and commercial alike. Service covers the full range of elevators, stairlifts, and platform lifts we put in homes and properties across Middle Tennessee and northern Alabama.
Modernization keeps an older elevator running safely and compliantly without replacing the entire unit. HomeLift handles elevator modernization on residential systems, including Fox Valley elevators that make up a significant portion of the regional install base. A modernization assessment determines what the unit needs: updated controls, new motor components, cab improvements, or compliance upgrades, scoped before any commitment is made.
If the unit is aging, running inconsistently, or requiring more frequent repairs than it used to, a modernization assessment is the right starting point. We’ll evaluate what the system requires and walk you through the options before any work begins.
In most cases, yes. We service and repair residential and commercial elevators regardless of who performed the original installation, with the exception of Garaventa and Savaria lifts, which fall outside our service scope. If you have an older unit that’s been maintained by a different provider, or a system that hasn’t been serviced in some time, we can assess it and recommend what it needs.
Most residential elevators benefit from at least one preventative maintenance visit per year. Both the Gold and Silver Extended Service Contracts include an annual preventative maintenance visit as part of the three-service-call structure. More frequent visits may be appropriate depending on the age of the unit, how often it’s used, and whether it’s in a residential or commercial setting.
Under the Silver plan, parts are the responsibility of the unit owner. If a service call identifies a component that needs replacement, HomeLift will provide the part at cost and complete the installation under the labor coverage included in the contract. Upgrading to Gold eliminates that exposure by covering parts and labor together.
