Hillside properties throughout Green Hills, Belle Meade, Huntsville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and comparable Memphis neighborhoods frequently have driveway-to-entry grade changes that a ramp can’t accommodate without significantly altering the property. An outdoor wheelchair lift or porch lift handles that grade change cleanly, with weather-rated components designed for exposed installations.

    Indoor VPL installations handle raised landings, split-level interiors, and interior grade changes where a staircase modification isn’t appropriate.

    For commercial applications, Cibes offers platform lifts in enclosed configurations that meet Tennessee and Alabama compliance requirements. Bruno produces residential-only models and isn’t available for commercial installs. Commercial vertical platform lift installations in this region must use enclosed or shaftway configurations.

NAEC-Affiliated Installation With Local Post-Install Coverage

Every vertical platform lift we install is handled by HomeLift’s own NAEC-affiliated, factory-trained technicians. We’ve operated under those standards on every install across Tennessee and Alabama since 1986, residential and commercial alike. Post-install, our Gold Extended Service Contract covers parts and labor, including three service calls per year and a guaranteed four-business-day response. Silver covers labor only, with the same call structure. Both are available on every VPL installation we complete.

Most VPL installations require a stable, level surface at both the upper and lower landings. Whether that requires a concrete pad depends on the existing surface conditions at the site. Our technician identifies any foundation or surface requirements during the site assessment before the equipment is specified.

Outdoor-rated VPL models include weather-resistant components designed for exposed installations, but operating conditions and temperature ranges vary by model.
